BREAKING: TEXAS REP. CHIP ROY Introduces NEW LAW To DEFUND THE PARIS CLIMATE ACCORD

By John Paluska, Founder of The Daily Fodder

Texas Congressman Chip Roy has introduced a new bill to defund the Paris Climate Accord be removing taxpayer funds toward compliance of the accord. The Bill, titled "No Taxpayer Funding for Paris Climate Agreement Act," would "prohibit the use of funds to provide for the United States to become a party to the Paris Agreement."

The Bill states:

(a) In General.—Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no funds are authorized to be appropriated, obligated, or expended to take any action to provide for the United States to become a party to the Paris Agreement.

The Paris Climate Accord is an international treaty that would allow the U.S. government to control any energy industry's production means and force it to do whatever the government deems would limit the amount of Co2 being released into the air.

The agreement's page on the UN states:

To achieve this long-term temperature goal, countries aim to reach global peaking of greenhouse gas emissions as soon as possible to achieve a climate neutral world by mid-century.

Additionally, the agreement itself states on Pages 6 and 9:

Each Party shall prepare, communicate and maintain successive nationally determined contributions that it intends to achieve. Parties shall pursue domestic mitigation measures, with the aim of achieving the objectives of such contributions.

. . .

A mechanism to contribute to the mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions and support sustainable development is hereby established under the authority and guidance of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to this Agreement for use by Parties on a voluntary basis. It shall be supervised by a body designated by the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to this Agreement, and shall aim:

        (a) To promote the mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions while fostering sustainable development;

        (b) To incentivize and facilitate participation in the mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions by public and private entities authorized by a Party;

        (c) To contribute to the reduction of emission levels in the host Party, which will benefit from mitigation activities resulting in emission reductions that can also be used by another Party to fulfil its nationally determined contribution; and

        (d) To deliver an overall mitigation in global emissions.

The agreement is based on the narrative that Co2 is causing global heating and that, if nothing is done, all of life as we know it will cease to exist. This is hotly contested by scientific studies and climate agencies

Additionally, scientific studies have found that warmer periods result in more fertile soil and fewer natural disasters than colder periods, and that humanity has historically died more in colder periods than warmer ones

President Trump pulled the U.S. out of the Paris Climate Accord but President Biden has put the United States back into it.
