BREAKING NEWS: Donald Trump Just Scored His Newest Victory Against China As Democrats Cave On 5G

While Democrats and Republicans are both fighting over impeachment, another President Trump victory slipped through the news media's radar. The House just passed a bill to secure 5G infrastructure amid top intelligence officials warning that Huawei is a Chinese Communist Party spying company rolling out 5G to increase China's surveillance reach. President Trump has been actively trying to limit the Chinese Communist Party-tied company from being used by allies and signed an executive order to stop the purchase of foreign-made telecommunications equipment deemed a national security risk.

The Trump Administration has long warned that Huawei, one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world, is a Chinese Communist Party intelligence arm that is simply being used to provide the Chinese Communist Party with greater access to the world's phones and internet usage to increase surveillance capabilities. But even before the Trump Administration, a House Intelligence Committee investigation into Huawei in 2012 found that Huawei and ZTE (another top Chinese technology company) were unable to prove their independence from the Chinese Communist Party.

According to the report: "Neither company was willing to provide sufficient evidence to ameliorate the Committee’s concerns. Neither company was forthcoming with detailed information about its formal relationships or regulatory interaction with Chinese authorities. Neither company provided specific details about the precise role of each company’s Chinese Communist Party Committee."

In addition to intelligence reports and top intelligence officials, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai stated concerning Huawei at a 2019 Council on Foreign Relations event that "China could compel Huawei to spy on foreign individuals and businesses and prevent Huawei from disclosing such surveillance requests. You don’t have to look hard to find evidence that the Chinese government is willing and able to use its growing influence over global commerce to advance its own interests."

The bill would require President Trump to come up with a strategy to properly secure 5G telecommunications systems and beyond, something the President has been wanting to do since January of 2019.
